Shared Values: EZ PASS
I will be the first to admit, Virginia just works differently. So I can only speak to some other states…..
My pass is registered in Florida (SUN Pass, EZ Pass system). It cost $5 to obtain a physical pass, for use at gates without cameras. If you only travel camera fed routes, the account is free – you only need stock it with money for tolls. As stated earlier, very unlike Virginia.
The also have these interesting things they use, computers, which allow you to link every license plate to you EZ Pass account. When a camera snaps the plate, it simply cross references the plate to account & deducts from your account. No need to move the pass from car-to-car, or fear dead batteries in the EZ Pass transponder!
I know Florida may be too laid back – but if you were to travel a toll route and not have an account? That means no plates registered and no transponder. They give you 15 days to get registered, and feed the tolls, before they send out a fine.
I hope your fine is small….. Virginia is different!
BTW – Love your CORE VALUES.
